2240XL Front Sight Options

I uprgraded to a 10" barrel on this gun and wanted to go with open sights. I had been using a small Hawke RDS but it now resides on the Prod. These rear sights were on the 1377, but I'm getting older and the wrists don't like all the pumping much. I'd like to have something with, I don't know the the term, the translucent rod that glow at the ends? Share your thoughts.

Hello check with TKO22 I think they make an LDC with a front sight. Eric

Pulled this plastic sight off end of Crosman 760 Pumpmaster. Has green fiber optics and might just fit on barrel. Search on eBay under Crosman 760, used ones might be found. WM

Found one on eBay for $3.75 with $3.75 shipping. Lists 2240 and a few others as fitting. I can't do links but took 3 minutes to find. Best of Luck, WM

There is the Glow Dot sight above and the regular sight available from Crosman and eBay as well as many others. Although without the cutout in the barrel you will need to do a little Dremel werq on the inside front of the sight to get it to fit the barrel better. Then use some epoxy to get it to stay in place.

There are also the Muzzle Breaks that you can purchase that either have sights or that you can put an longer Allen screw in for a sight.

If you put a TKO moderator on it you can use a shotgun front sight. Double sided tape or a little epoxy will keep it in place. Or you can carve up a 22x sight and epoxy it on.

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I was looking for. It'll be nice to have this gun up and running again; it has a little better balance than the Prod.

Probably now.
it is or shotgun barrel.
The 2240XL adaptor is not that large.

How about removing the top grub screw on the barrel band and use a longer one?
The higher you make it though, the lower the pistol will shoot.
I would get one about 1” long then lower your rear sights all the way down and shoot the pistol.
Shooting low?
Lower the front sight (raising POI) with a file.

I like that idea, thanks.
Any idea if the larger diameter part of the barrel (I guess it's a muzzle break) is removable? I know the very end piece, the thread protector is, but if the larger diameter piece is removable maybe I could just use a front sight designed for the 2240.

You can call crosman and get the front sight from the old disco. I use them on my builds. Is like $20 for the setup.
