We keep our dog food bowls on the back porch out of the weather and the starlings have been really hitting them hard lately. I guess they're feeding their chicks. Anyway noticed that they were squawking and looked out and there must have been a dozen sitting on the bowl. Only thing close to hand was the 2240 with the 2X20 pistol scope. Not to good of a shot with the pistols, but thought if nothing else I could scare them off. Got the Co2 cartridge loaded and a 14.3 in the chamber. Started to ease forward and the dogs noticed me and all came running, scaring the starlings off. One must have been real hungry as it only flew up to the power line and sat there just long enough to get the shot off. To make a long story short the pellet hit right where it was supposed to. That was maybe one of over 50 I have shot this year, but the only one with the pistol. Very pleased with myself. LOL
