.22 Weihrauch HW77 Pellet Testing Complete

This is the third and final post related to this rifle project. I completed the testing of seven different pellets today for best match to this rifle. As previously posted, this rifle was tuned using a Vortek PG4-steel HO kit with 1 coil removed, hoping to end up at +/- 15 FPE of energy and shooting groups of +/- 3/8" C-t-C at 18 yards.

The results can be found in total on the targets below. The best performing pellet ended up being the JSB Hades 15.89 Gr, though there really wasn't a bad performer in the group.

Looks like a shooter! No 5.54 FTTs on hand? That extra 1/100 of an inch seems to really make a difference in my .22 97K. The 5.55s are notable too.

The HW77 is one of the most aesthetically pleasing rifles to ever be produced. I do not think that I have ever seen one that did not look the complete business.
