Unless you got lucky and have an outlier, this barrel will shoot the Monsters RDs better @ 100 yards better than your untouched OEM Vet barrel. Expect groups under 2" at 100 yards (in reasonable conditions) from this barrel. And I'll include a tin of .22 Monster RDs for you to verify that.
Barrel came out of a Veteran Long purchased new around 2020. Probably a LW but the typical 12 lands and grooves Taipan barrel.
21.75" long.
Initially it shot very well with .22/18.13 but pretty poorly with .22/25.4 Monster RDs.
About 18 months ago I revisited the barrel, opening up the excessively tight choke a bit and lightly recrowning. After that barrel work it will shoot a good batch of Monster RDs into about 1.75" @ 100 yards and is still very good with the .22/18.13.
From this barrel I have not tried any of the newer JTS offerings, or any of the handful of pellet options in the 20-22grain range.
Fits a .22 Veteran first gen. Swap barrels on a Vet Standard and the extra barrel length is an instant power increase.
