Mine sure won't push the MRDs that fast, but you've got a couple extra inches of barrel on me.

I saw your post a couple weeks back and you are hitting a wall at + or - 890fps with the monster redesigns with a 140 bar reg pressure. I guarantee you will break the 900 mark with a heavy spring or shims. However the gun will be a lot less pleasant to shoot. My gun reached the same limit until I shimmed the spring. That was even with a 24 inch barrel. The valve would close too fast and not make more power.

My end goal for this gun is to shoot light weight slugs. 23gr and under. So far 20.2 gr seem to max out at 1020fps. So at 950-980 fps the gun is shooting very tame.

I shimmed it a while back and seems like I got it up around 906 or maybe 908. 

I agree though, more power = less docile. Around 875, it's just a pleasure to shoot. And the 45-50 shots/fill is pretty nice too.

I've shot some of the 17.5s and 20.2s out to 130 yards, at slower speeds than yours can do, don't remember right now but thinking 960 with the 17.5s and maybe 915 or 920 with the 20.2s. I could get them to shoot as well as the MRDs, but not better than the MRDs. But that's my barrel, you may find completely different results. That's the fun of testing, the intrigue of the unknown.

Jacob, that sounds like a good trade. Especially having your Taipan setup the way it is now. Definitely looks like an amazing gun and would love to own one someday. Enjoy! And yeah I'm really a fan of the Vixen so far. Great little gun for what I'll use it for.
