.22 RW HP JSB 25.89 Pellets Vs FX Hybrid Slugs - 50 yards

Within the last few weeks I posted comparison test results, shooting the FX Hybrid 22 grain slugs & JSB Jumbo Monster Redesigned 25.39 gr pellets out of my .22 Red Wolf HP at 87 yards. The FX Hybrids were the first slugs I have found to shoot with accuracy close to the slugs it was designed and tuned to shoot.

This morning, in near perfect conditions, I shot three groups each of the Hybrids and pellets, at an exact 50 yards to see how they compared at a range that is more "typical" of most of my shots.

My primary interest was to determine where the slugs shot compared to the pellet sighted in POI and the group sizes. Note, both were nearly identical. The slugs shot to virtually the same POI, producing a nearly identical POI. This makes for a very convenient switch from one to another.

That looks pretty darn good! My gun shoots the 33.95gr and the 32.8gr VK with the same POI at 50yds. It’s pretty awesome when you can find a velocity that works out like that. I just put different labels on my turrets for when the targets get farther and the difference in POI becomes more apparent. It’s an old picture but you get the point. Have a good weekend! Stoti
