.22 Leshiy shot strings

My stock 177, 250mm barrel, Leshiy shoots Air Arms 8.4 gr pellets at an average of 930 fps with an extreme spread of 19 fps for 25 shots (regulator set as it came from EDGun West and hammer adjusted for best performance/shot count). I have added a Huma regulator and have a 350mm 22 barrel but haven't installed barrel or retested since installing the Huma due to bad weather. Your question may get me motivated to add the barrel and test it tomorrow (weather is supposed to be good tomorrow). What weight 22 pellet do you shoot? If I have the same weight pellet or close I'll use them to test the 22, 350mm configuration.

I have my .22 currently set to around 12ft.lbs shooting JSB 15.89gr currently at 588 fps. It's my low power rat gun for around the house. I get about 42 shots from a 250 BAR fill down to 135 BAR on the factory regulator with 250mm barrel. ES is about 15 fps over those 42 shots. I also have a Huma HFT regulator for sub 12fpe but haven't changed it out yet. Future plans are to get additional barrels in 350mm and other calibers but I really like the compactness of the 250mm barrel.

My Leshiy 250mm .22cal. Huma set at 100b:

15.8gr 850fps for 20+ shots

18.1gr 815fps for 20+ shots

This is not a friendly tune. It is still efficient but the gun is quite active when you pull the trigger. When you tune closer to 700fps, yes the shot count goes up but the gun becomes a real sweat heart. I have and have used the 350mm barrel. It makes everything about the gun better except the size. I prefer the gun to be compact, in a backpack and not having to screw stuff onto it to make it quiet. Very versatile gun. Probably the most versatile gun ever produced. But it’s not for everyone. Understand it’s limitations and life is good.

Thanks guys! I've had a .22 for awhile now and have been enjoying it alot! One of my favorite guns I've owned. Just have a little Bushnell TRS-25 red dot on it and it's a laser with it and super light and easy to shoot off hand still. And it loves the Hades which was what I hoped for. It was always alittle loud and sounded like it was shooting fast and only like 10 shots on a 250bar fill so I decided to throw it over the chrony finally and was shooting 900fps with the Hades! Had no idea this gun could shoot that fast! I cranked the hammer spring up to test the max and got a whopping 960fps! Very impressed with this little thing! I backed it off now to shoot the Hades in the 830s and really like it here. Very quiet and accurate.

Does anyone know what the stock reg pressure comes at? By my guesses I think it's around 130 bar?

My future plans for the gun is just add a reservoir extension from John Hagan. I thought about the 350mm barrel but I love the compactness of the 250mm so decided money better spent on more air. I have other guns if I need more power.

Reg Should be set from origination at 120 ish bar, the 350mm barrel is supposed to better optimize air and add 60 to 80 FPS to this little gem. The fore grip really helps with offhand shooting you might try one mine is a magpiul set on a 5 inch Picatinny extender to move it forward but not to close to muzzle. Just got one of the Wilkins pellet pouch (large) from AOA and that made this little Leshiy even more fun

This thing is amazing with .25 polymags. 350mm barrel, Huma @ 120 Bar, double tube, Huma pellet holder, custom grip, Dedal stalker, streamlight ... Running 27 shots @ 840 fps, ES of 14, SD of 4.4. Consistently shoots 50 yrd 5 shot groups 1/2 inch. Fantastic gun. A bit barky but Akula mod coming... Everything Ed makes just kicks solid A$$.

I asked Brian at EDgun West and he said they come to him set up at 130 BAR so you're correct. Yes, these little guns can sling lead pretty fast.

Here are some data I put together few months ago tuning my Leshiy. I wanted to have a reference on a sweet spot for for each regulator pressure setting. The number in red is 5% below the plateau velocity or knee velocity. The shots were recorded with velocity and air consumption per shot. Leshiy .22 with 350mm barrel and Huma Leshiy standard regulator. Enjoy!
