.22 H&N HP2 25gr

These have been my go to for longer range shooting (70-200yds) with the U2 .22 700mm going 930fps. On top of bein laser accurate, they have been doing a pretty good job of actually stopping inside of the iguanas more often than not (given the right angle).

This slug was recovered after I shot this iguana at 58yds, it was a behing the neck shot, severed the spine, mushed the brain and lodged itself in the soft tissue between the jaw and jaw muscle

That’s awesome performance. I’m right with you. I use the the 30 gr. HP2 at 950fps out of my Panthera. It is a fantastic slug both for precision accuracy and terminal performance.

That's awesome! The tinkerer in me wants to up the reg for more power. But honestly, there's zero need for it. 50yds and in I'm shooting the 23gr javelin .218 at about 960fps and they are amazing shot due to the super high expansion they have. While these 25gr can go the distance and I get over 140shots per fill.
