I've tried the two 900lb gorilla's - pyramyd air and airgun depot - both out. Baker airguns - nadda, Trenier Outdoors - nadda.
I just wrote Tony @Talon Tunes as he has proven to be very responsive and am hoping he'll tell me he has them in stock.
Readers digest - I just added a huma to one of my guns and have spent some time with it getting a good consistent speed out of it (951 average over chrony 10 shots - high 953, low 951 - yeah.
) AND its shooting nickle'ish size groups at my zero which is 40 yards. The latter is just off of my field target bucket and sticks too - not bench rested or anything. I'm going to take it out to a range that I have access to tomorrow and stretch it out to 70 and 100 to see how it does.
BUT . . . I need ammo.
In lieu of the FX's, which are expensive, does anyone know of a comparable slug at the same weight?*
................... * The AVS 22gr 22 slugs are OUT. I've a pile of them that unfortunately just don't shoot well for me at all. Yet the FX's are phenomenal. Go figure.
