Whats interesting is, my MKII showed up Monday from FX USA and is “only” shooting the 18.1g at 910 FPS on MAX with the 500mm barrel. That’s right out of the box, with the reg at 125 bar.

Would the 100mm difference in barrel length account for a 20 ft/lb difference in muzzle energy?

While watching the AEAC video again on the Continuum setup (while waiting for my new Crown), he made the comment that going from the 380 barrel to the 700 barrel, not changing any settings, he gained 100-150 FPS. That helps you see how much barrel length alone can help.

Yes, every centimeter or 10mm usually equates to about 4-5fps with same everything else.
