.22 Barrel twist rate and .22 avenger can handle un modified

What is the barrel twist and Heaviest slug combo for a stock .22 AVA ?

I, and others, have asked that question many times with no knowledgeable answer. Can't find twist rate anywhere. I've tried lots of slug weights and none were reliable. Pellets, however, are great. I use 18 grain H&N.

As far as I know the avenger barrel is the same as the one on my liberty and Aspen. It's 18-1 and it loves AVS slugs which were designed for it. It needs the.217 size that Steve sells with the cup base.

Are they really stiff for you when you press them in I have some .216 Nielsen's and they are really stiff going in the bore

217s chamber pretty easy in my avenger. 218 is a bit stiff
