How wide can I go and still be able to use pellet also I have a friend who wants to try slugs in his unregulated theoben 22 I can remake the valve out of peek and a different poppet slightly larger so it would still be safe lengthen the hammer stroke and oval the barrel port I'd make the new valve to 250 throat and same size exhaust port the original valve is made of derlin .200 throat and .240 exhaust it was hot rodded with a heavy spring I removed it and installed a lighter spring but I want to be able to use a pellet to with out it falling in the barrel port . I have a mini mill so oval of the barrel port would be possible and I'd be able to reinstall the smaller valve any suggestions would help thanks Mark
