If im not mistaken thats what theyre designed around.
Sorry I can't help but I'm ready for when it shows up!

FX slug liners: Some FX slug liners want .217 and some want .218. The .218 seems to be a better choice for most liners from the feedback we have received. This slug is not available in .218 so it is not recommended for the FX liner.

It's the first I've seen of the .218 option, I had no idea. Awesome.
Check also ratsniper slugs, if I am correct they build it to match pellet weight, so no need to power kits to achieve 950+- speeds, and specially for impact
This sort of makes sense. I have the 600mm slug A liner, and only .217mm NSA slugs. The lighter slugs are often unstable in my liner, so I wonder if I have one of the liners that prefers .218. It would also explain why I've had such bad results with the lighter slugs, compared to others posting such good results. Maybe time for another NSA order.
Thanks,,
Rusty
When exactly did you get your slug liner?
Might check with Nick on that. When I talked with him, he said it was questionable as to if the 21gr slug could be sized to .218
When I asked for those, he said he would try but they may only be able to reach .2175
If I remember correctly, the 19gr was not possible or practicable to make in .218 due to being so short.
When exactly did you get your slug liner?
I got mine early, maybe August 2018. It was in the first batch that AOA received.
I ordered a sample pack of .218 NSA slugs, so I'll do some comparisons between .217 and .218. It will be annoying if it turns out to want .218, since I bought a custom Lee sizing die that's .217.
