This event is going to be a treat. If you're on the fence about coming rest assured you will have a great time shooting some of the best ft courses available, If that's not enough, they also have a snack table and roaming snack aids on the course to help you stay well fueled during the match.

Hey Jeff, glad you're going to make the trip. A bunch of us are talking about renting a bus to come down your way for next year's nationals!

Chas
Hey Chas! Yes I’ll be there and I’m bringing this beauty with me. RAW TM1000 in custom Martin stock.

Course Update for only WFTF and Open shooters. An exception was granted by the AAFTA Board of Governors for 3 targets per lane and 1 shot per target.
  1. WFTF and Open Division will shoot 17 lanes each day – 3 targets per lane, 1 shot per target, shot from left to right, 3 shots per lane, 51 shots total per day, 102 maximum points for two days. 4-minute time limit to shoot 3 shots.
  2. Hunter Division will shoot 15 out of the 17 lanes and only 2 of the 3 target per lane as normal. 4 shots per lane. Shot left to right. 60 shots total per day, 120 maximum points for two days. The third target will not have a string and left in the down position.

Kills me to miss this, it would be my home state Nationals to boot.

What kind of velocity do you have if you are shooting 16.5 grain pellets in Pistol at 12 ft-lbs? That's gotta be a typo... lol

@Cloud9AG , quick question, any anticipated changes to the scoring system for 2026? I'm looking to redesign the course in Nevada (the current experiment provided results I was not expecting, the scores were good but the wind effect was not as expected) and if there will not be changes I can get a head start on the revised layout... The new system has certainly made this years GP results interesting on the west coast!

There are no proposed changes to GP scoring rules for 2026. Don't anyone submit any either!
Jeff

Thanks Jeff!! Nothing to submit from NAG.

Did the math for that one pistol shooter... 572fps for 16.5 grain pellets at 12 ft-lbs. Probably looking at around 14" of drop at 35 yards... I shot 10.34's at 5 ft-lbs (my reg was not wanting to detune to 12 ft-lbs) and they were very accurate but I was using all the reticle at 35 yards.

Ok, we’re one month out from the Nationals. There are 53 of the top shooters in the nation signed up. We’ve got great raffle items like a Kurt Thune jacket, RAW TM1000 Pistol, AirArms TX200, Hawke Scope, Pellets and more. Our generous sponsors Pyramyd AIR, Lazarus Targets, AirForce and RAW, Predator Intl & JSB, Hawke Sport Optics, Kurt Thune, Huma Air, and Hard Air Magazine help RF&GC put on this event.

If you haven’t signed up, there is still time. I hear the recent 2nd place finisher in the World is going to show up. Woot!

So my question is...which second place finisher would you be talking about?? PCP or Springer? Or lady? I think a large part of the first place Springer team will be there as well. Btw - that is first 🥇 place Springer team for the third year in a row! Woot woot!!
