Remarks:
Honestly, I was surprised that 20 people showed up to shoot an air gun match during the Memorial Day weekend. I forget sometimes when scheduling matches that it would fall on a weekend holiday.
We had the best weather we could ask for. It was sunny, warm and there was very little or no wind. With these ideal conditions, I was happy to report that Dave F shot an incredible 59 out of 60 score. Very impressive shooting indeed. Only missing the long kneeling target.
The match ran smoothly with no major issues. We did have one squad that had three shooters. I suggested having one score while the two others shoot so that they would not cause a backup.
Another highlight was that we did not have any cold lines. We leave all our targets and strings out year-round and they have held up nicely over the two years running.
After the last squad was finished, we called a cold line, and everyone helped wind up the strings back to the targets. Lunch was served afterwards.
Thank you all who attended and helped with the cleanup.
Next match: 2024 June 9 Silhouette Match at Club house air gun range
