2023 April 2 Sunday FT Match Report
Temperature: 40-50 degrees F
Wind: 14 mph
Sunny with variable high winds
10 lanes, 30 targets, 2 shots/target = 60 shots/points total
15-55 yards, mix of 15mm, 1-1/2" and 40mm kill zones.
Average distance: 39.2 yards, Average KZ size: 1 1/2", Course Difficulty: 37.74T with wind factor

I, Bernie, Matt Sq, Pete S, Bill & Cindy helped Ron D set up the course on Saturday in the rain. Ron and his son Jon had set up the lanes and placed flags where the target would be located. It took less than 2 hours to place the concrete blocks, clamp target field targets and run the strings back to the 10 lanes.
The day started overcast, cold (low 40s) and windy (+15 mph). The sun broke out and winds remained strong, switching directions and on occasion would calm down in inopportune moments.
Matt S decided to shoot both PCP and Piston WFTF class. Matt S ended getting match high 48/60 with his Daystate LPR. Nice shooting Matt especially in these windy conditions.
Stephan and Karen had the longest drive from NJ. We appreciate their dedication to traveling so far to just shoot field target in CT. I noticed Karen sporting a Thomas carbine this time around.
With the strong winds, it was more challenging than normal. One had to hold 1 ½” to 3” away from the KZ (and sometimes more) to knock them down.
There was a tie score for 1st place in Hunter PCP. Stephan and Gerard both ended with a 38. I used the Kneeling and Standing lanes combined to break the tie. Stephan had one more point in the Kneeling Lane than Gerard.
Eli F scored 39 in Hunter Piston. Scoring one point better than his PCP counterparts is an accomplishment.
Thanks to all that attended and helped clean up the course by 1 pm.
