2019 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge In the Books!

We apologize for the lack of posting the last couple weeks. Luckily you have been getting great information from some of the awesome people in the industry on our behalf. First off, what an amazing week! A competition this scale couldn't be possible without the support of sponsors, volunteers, competitors and the whole airgun community...thank all of you so much. A special shoutout to Airgun Nation's own Michael Wendt. Michael reached out to us before the event and said he wasn't shooting himself, he just wanted to come and help. make the event awesome for the competitors. Michael helped us move targets, score, spot, and with too many other things to mention. Thank you Michael!

The conditions were incredibly tough for the shooters. They battled through all kinds of extreme conditions including 30+ MPH wind gusts! The scores that were posted show how good shooters are getting and the progression in technology. A huge congratulations to Alvaro Lopez (Sun City Airguns) for winning the $10,000.00 cash grand prize in the RMAC 100 Yard Benchrest event! Matt Dubber also did extremely well by being the best all-around shooter all week. Matt took 1st in the Precision Marksman Challenge, Speed Challenge and 3rd in both the Slug Challenge (Standard Power) and the RMAC 100 Yard Benchrest and ended up taking home $9,000.00 in total prize money!! Congratulations to all those who placed in their events, this competition brings the best shooters in the world together to compete on the biggest stage and it is a huge accomplishment to place.

The best part of the week for us was seeing all our amazing friends in the airgun community. Some people may think we are all crazy for shooting pellet guns this much, but our #1 goal in hosting RMAC is to help everyone remember why we starting shooting airguns in the first place....because it is so damn fun!!

We hope to see all of you at the 2020 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge!

It was a fun time each day, and we all left with lots of new friends. The Precision Marksman Challenge was a tough test of overall shooter ability, and was won by Matt Dubber. John Tafoya, who, although Sportsman Class, won his class and came in second place overall, just one point behind Matt!. Congrats John. Also, Jayson Barnes was the man to beat in Sportsman Speed Challenge, plus did great in the 100 yard BR event. I shot with John and Jayson in the Speed Challenge and also the group in front of them in the PMC, and all I can say is lookout Pros, they’ll both be very competitive next year.
