200 yards with my FX Impact MKII and just a RDS?

Done, and done.

FX Impact MKII, .30 cal

  • Power Plenum
  • Slug power kit
  • Huma .30 cal Pin Probe
  • Superior Heavy Liner, 700mm
  • DonnyFL Ronin
  • Base tune from UA was a 44.75 gr. pellet @ 920 ft/s w/Slug power kit (minus the pin probe)
  • For those curious, I was lobbing 44.5 gr. FX Hynrid slugs.

Once I get the FX radar chronograph I will add the ER transfer port and the Vladan Power Kit (both of which are on hand).

Still after confirming zero, the fact that after a few short shots I was able to connect at 200 yards with just a crappy Bushnell RDS says a lot about the inherent accuracy of the system!

I also have a .30 cal 700mm slug liner Impact mk2 with power plenum and Vladan external plenum... my plans after full tuning is to have it be a nice coyote and woodchuck rifle. I do my own work and have a full machine shop. Cerakote paint booth, lathe, mill, etc. I'm currently waiting on barrel tension tubes that Ernest shows in his videos. FX hybrid slugs work well so far just initial testing but I haven't done any serious wasting of slugs until I get the build complete. I don't have time or patience anymore for inexpensive scopes on top shelf air rifles. Leupold for hunting, Nightforce for hunting, March for competition.. those brands have not let me down... however I see a lot of future in the Element line as they mature into a great scope.
