2 Question’s a/Ed and Benjamin Trav

Ok so I got 1 of these Chinese Air/water separators and I must admit, look very well built it has absorbing pellets then oil absorbing pellets, then charcoal. I don’t have to tell you all what the Newbie world is like b/c you all have been there. While I’m waiting for my Hatsan Spark to be fixed by a computer geek( compressor works fine, fans gave out) I work extremely hard and have nerve damage in both hands, so the hand pump is Brutel to say the least So I’m thinking for my Spark to be a spare. I work on outboards so I am mechanical inclined this Hatsan is built Flimsy but worked. I’m thinking of maybe Benjamin Traveler any thoughts? Now should there be water in the threads of the endcap at the charcoal end? B/c that’s what I found I have herd of strictly keep this filter sky up which is how I operate it. Thoughts on that? So sorry for the short of a novel couple of questions and hope you cut me some slack and thanks .

I’m fairly new my self I do have the Benjamin traveler That I only fill my guns with and big gold filter .The only things I dislike are the fact you have to unplug it after using it no on off switch .I do unhook the air filter and turn back on to blow water out in to a towel And change the cotton filter after each use it has worked great for over a year

Yes the Hatsan Spark their power supply is the same way. I don’t like it neither. You would think for the money that they charge you for these things they would put in an on/off switch. Once I filled my gun and I left the thing running. The power supply electrical components are quite cheaply made. So you have to be careful. That’s a good idea on blowing out the hose in reverse. How often do you change the big gold filter filter? The small one seems like your taking an extra precaution to change it every time?

December will be 2 years for my traveler.I have had 0 problems with it(knock on wood).

Like Phildog, I only fill my guns with it,but some days I make it work for instance I’ll shoot my Skyhawk from 200 bar down to 120 then while it’s charging I’ll shoot my Akela from 3000 down to 2000 and switch sometimes even a third gun too.I get the packs of foam filters off Amazon 50 pack like 14$.I change them every 4-5 fills. It makes some noise yes,but I don’t care I have a scuba tank for late nights.
Good luck.
