Just recently added the neck strap, I usually attach it to my belt in the rear.

The 2.5 is fairly small, but it is big enough to get my small fingers in there. The bigger one is much better. All depends what size hands you have, if you have larger hands, get the big one. I have fairly small hands, so tye 2.5 works great for me.
