How secure and protective is that soft case?

The savior tactical case is a ton of case for the money, the padding is firm and thick and encompasses the whole rifle.

In the past I had some problems with leaks around the manometer, and the magazines not indexing, but hopefully those are sorted now. And it takes quite a bit of effort to use the cocking lever (after a few hundred rounds you can really feel it). But aside from that I’m pretty smitten with mine too!

I find the cocking effort definitely takes some brawn but it's not notchy/grainy. I understand why it is so so I find it to be a non issue FOR ME. I can 100% understand how it would be for some though especially coming from other platforms. Even the long paradigm has a shorter barrel than say an impact compact. So needing that extra hammer is expected.

Yours is just as beautiful as mine, they really are works of art and the ergonomics of the stock are just awesome. I'm totally chuffed with this thing.

Also @Michael Tom is releasing some spring kits to reduce cocking effort very soon

The evol and paradigm are one in the same rifle. I see just as many 22 as 30s personally.

I’d also like to see Tom build a dedicated .22 PRS slug gun. The low profile height of the titanium air tube and a full length Arca rail chassis would be perfect for squeezing into tight spaces. Plus they’re built like tanks so you don’t have to worry about bumping it on anything. I know he can do it, and I think it would awesome!

Tom is currently working on a dedicated .22 PRS Slug rifle , .223 to be exact and its already being tested Arca swiss bottom rail is part of the list of features The picture below will show this.


My paradigm came shooting the 44.75/44.8 at 890 but I detuned it a bit to shoot right at 855 fps and IMO its a winning combo, lot of people are stuck on speed, sometimes we need to slow things down. I agree with him on steering you away, the 25g MRD as I unfortunately found out after buying 30 tins for my OLDER HPS that has since moved on , showed to have many many fliers. Was a laser otherwise though.

Wednesday marked the half way journey with it and boy has it been a long one, lol jk , i feel like I've owned it for a long time though that's for sure, and I say that in the best way possible.

Wednesday was a very calm day wind wise so I grabbed the case, threw it in the back of the jeep. Brought it down to the range and said 10 shots, 2 five shot groups. Now I had made an adjustment to the scope hence the group hitting right, dialed two clicks left and printed the second group on the bullseye at 100 yards. Packed the rifle up and put it away.

Fast forward alllll the way to today lol jk, 1 week with the paradigm TODAY, each day it impresses me more. This isn't even the best card I've shot with it but it is windy today so a 228 is a fantastic score IMO with off the shelf , unsorted, straight out of the tin ammo. Nothing fancy here besides this damn stock my oh my isnt it gorgeous?

Especially for only having 1 week behind the trigger And thats it i am ecstatic. My goal is to put the Evol on the podium and I am going to get very intimate with it (stop thinking gross you sickos). I know thats very ambitious of me but i am confident in myself , my equipment and well ya, im just feeling really good about it.

I made a couple adjustments to scope placement. The tune is spot on. I have to adjust the trigger just a little lighter though and that will be tomorrow.

Also finally got a stapler for my targets and made some wind flags!

Michael, I have a Paradigm .30 shooting the JSB 44g at around 872 FPS. Have not had great results yet shooting either paper targets ( I.e., EBR 8x11” ) or groups at 100yards…..yet. Mine came from Tom with that velocity and he has a video that specifically addresses his methodology on setting up the reg and HST designed for the 44g pellet.

Q. How does yours shoot at 100?

CT - I am posting some 50 yard groups & N50 targets, and also some 100 yard EBR targets. Unfortunately, I threw away the 100 yard groups with the Paradigm, because it was quite windy for me anyway. I have been out three times at 100 yards with the Paradigm, and it is shooting solid at 50 yards, just not at 100 yards. I am going to work with this rifle at 100 yards, but trying for a very light wind day to see how it does.

I also have an FX Boss .30 which is a bit more accurate at 50 yards and also at 100 yards.

Have you tried shooting out of the rest on a bipod? I am finding that the Paradigm .30 certainly is hold sensitive, at least for me anyways.

I use the Randolph Rest because the Paradigm was made for a rest like this. The fore-end is flat, and I didn't want to drill any holes in it for a BiPod. I have a good Accu-Tac that I use for my other bench rest guns, but for this one, I use just the Randolph.

The Randolph really locks it down, but maybe my hold is faulty. Normally, I have a light cheek hold, and medium to firm shoulder for butt section on a .25 or a .30 caliber from the bench. The trigger is perfect as is, from the factory.

Please elaborate on 'hold sensitive' and what you do when you shoot at 100 yards.

I could try to lower the HST to around 850 FPS as well, but I was trying to test as Tom indicated in his video, which was around 875 FPS.

There is no need to drill any holes in the stock for a pic rail. Just grab yourself an mlok to pic adapter

I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong I have never shot from a rest myself.

My bad. I forgot It has an M-look rail. I have the pic to M-lok adapter, and will give the Accu-Tac a try.

Also, I could always send to Derrick Wall and have him tune for 100 yards.

I need to try some things first. Any suggestions?

Is that a donnyfl on it? If so, I would try shooting some groups with the factory moderator and see if they tighten up.

Yes, I have a Sumo DF that I am using. Going to try a 0DB .30 today.

Re. Factory moderator - need to order a replacement from AoA, as I misplaced or lost the original.

I would definitely try the factory mod if you can get your hands on one. Start from square one so to speak.

OK, went to the range this morning. Have accumulated some data. Yes, I agree with you on starting with the factory moderator. See below.

I found my factory Paradigm moderator. I think it is damaged, but take a look at the pics. Q. Can I just order the baffles/felt from AoA, as I think the factory moderator is fine? If you look closely at the baffle from a vertical view, it looks damaged. I did not use this today, but am curious to know if I need new felt baffle inserts? Also, this was the only felt baffle in my factory moderator and I am wondering if I lost more baffles. Let me know on both questions. tx....

I will post some shot string data and NUAH 100Y targets shortly, which were shot with the Sumo moderator.

NUAH Targets shot at 100 yards for score, and some miscellaneous groups. NUAH Objective is to shoot for score, and put all 5 shots in the 1" X ring, for a perfect 50-50, 5X score lol...

I believe the gun without any moderator at all, is shooting below its potential at 100 yards. I will replace the factory moderator from AoA, and start testing again. However, I am still not getting good tight groups with or without any moderator and the 44G JSB pellet. If anyone has any suggestions/ideas besides getting the factory moderator replacement, let me know your thoughts. Again, this is shooting MOA at 50 yards with the 44g JSB. Puzzling....
