I really didn’t expect this to happen. There was no doubt in my mind this would be the top combination for shooting chippies. I just didn’t think thereĀ were enough left to make a nine kill move.

It started out really slow. I had one opportunity one shot one kill within the first three hours. I was hoping to finish the day withĀ three at that point.

I have a couple of trails I walk along the creek. At the very end of the first trail, I was finally able to get another one. A 30 yard off hand shot. I forgot my phone, so I had to go back so I could take a picture. On the way back, I scored five hits. The long one of the group was 43 yards off hand. That put me at six for the day.

I scored three more in one more walk down another trail. This put me at nine for the day. I knew I could find the 10th…And I did, however, I missed him at about 12 feet. So I hung it up for the rest of the day and stayed at nine.

The combination of the optics andĀ the accuracy and the trigger onĀ this rifle are unbelievable. This is a 2 to 7 lighted retical Scope. It is absolutely the best chipmunk optic you could possibly find. And it was designed and marketed 60 years ago. The rifle is an absolute laserbeam. I bought it new 40 years ago. It has since then been tuned by David Slade twice. The stock is an incredible grade IVĀ DIY stock from maccarri, that I picked up on the yellow forumĀ and finished myself years ago.

Penny retrieved two of the three that I was able to find.

NIIIIIICE or should I say that's one beauitful springer andĀ every serious airgunner should have one of those or he or she should go out of their way to find one. After many years of "magnumits", I humbled myself and bought one at the Hickory Airgun Show here in North Carolina 3 to 4 years ago. "Simply Hooked" on pcps, IĀ had to add this springer to my collection and it's one serious shooter from yester-year. Great shooting and Alvin's cousins are resting peacefully thanks to you Flintsack.Ā
