1952 Benjamin .22

Any one know what a good price for a 1952-1955 era single shot Benjamin .22? My friend has had it since new and I offered to buy it and he says gimme fair price. I’ve searched the forums for hints but didn’t find any. - thanks for your time and thoughts.

Is it a rifle?

Is it a pistol? 

Is it a pump gun?

Is it a Co2 gun?

Is it in pieces?

Is it complete?

Does it shoot? 

Does it need werq?

What shape is the wood in?

What shape is the metal in?

Have a model number?

Okay. Sorry to waste time. Pics to follow. It is a Benjamin Franklin era 1955 or possibly sooner. .22 pump rifle in well loved as used by the two boys, condition. Stock is in solid but maybe fair condition. Lots of songs and dents and a couple pictures pressed into it iron sights look to be mounted solidly and straight and in alignment. Bore looks to be clean and the bore looks nice

Will it hold air when you pump it up? I would say $100 max by the pictures. But I’ve seen dummies pay up to $200 in that condition.Now if it was in excellent cosmetic and working condition it would definitely be Worth quite a bit more.

That particular Benjamin rifle was manufactured in 1953. It looks to be in fair condition and would be worth 150.00-200.00 in todays market although I have seen some crazy prices that boggle the mind recently.

Keep in mind, that it came from the factory with a flat-top hycar piston seal which is no longer available. So if it needs rebuilt, then the metal piston head will have to be replaced as well.

I’m not sure. I don’t thinks so but feels like it wants to. Friend is gonna put some proper oil in the bits that could use some and see if things hydrate properly. Thanks

Probably not a good choice for a first gun Sorry. Looks like a project for a seasoned vintage guy.

If a guy were looking for a project gun. That might be a good candidate. 
I personally would not pay more than $50.00 for it. And that’s IF I were looking for a project.
