I have this Daisy model 1894 that functions as shoots as it should. I'd like to restore it to like new condition. I've never restored a gun that was originally painted and I don't know what paint to use. What should I use?
That stuff flows out pretty nice from a rattle can. Most rattle can paints don't level well. Problem is the color. Factory just used enamel. If black is satisfactory I use Rustoleum oil enamel sprayed through one of these mini spray guns and get terrific results with no orange peel. Flows out like glass (IF, IF you know what you're doing). At least as durable as the original paint.I would use an epoxy paint. Or something for appliances .
