.177 TX200 vs .22 HW35E, Seated FT position @ 100yds

That’s impressive! I never shot a target 100 yds. This winter I’ll try when the lake freezes. I tried to get out last year but every day I had free there was a serious crosswind. Crow
Its pretty fun so I'd definitely recommend it. Wind is definitely a PITA though. I only ever try it when its relatively calm because the wind shifts directions at a moments notice on my range and without flags its pretty hard to tell when it does sometimes

I didn’t know what FT sitting was, just looked up. To sit like a pretzel and hold that a 100 yd. Unbelievable. I wanna be like you when I grow up. Crow
I use a deadman position that was taught to me by an amazing FT shooter, Cam. It looks strange but it allows me to get really low and a bit more stable. The position looks exactly like my profile picture

I just traded my walnut-stocked HW35E in .177, for a walnut AA TX200 MK111 in .22. Waiting on a scope to shoot it with.

If me, I would have kept hold of that 35 ….it looks to have beautiful woodwork and the .177 cals getting rare to get hold of in the slotted stock models. That just might be the best one ive ever seen.

May we see your deadman position

Stats on the contenders:

TX200 .177, 740fps w/ JSB 8.44gr (10.3fpe)

HW35E .22, 630fps w/ FTT 14.66gr (13fpe)

Wind was anywhere from 2-4mph between the two groups. The TX actually had it a bit easier than the 35E. The wind definitely picked up a hair when I shot that one.

I goofed on one of my shots by using the wrong hash mark while shooting the 35E. Its hot and I didn't want to start over so I'm just going to pretend it didn't happen. It isn't the guns fault that I can't read.

Anyway, the HW35E managed to take it by 0.25" somehow. I was a bit suprised because the TX200 stomps the 35E all day within 50yds. Not today though!

Really nice shooting.
