.177 Sluggers

Well today I got a 510mm .177 barrel for the RTI. Have 13.43gr Knockout here and 12.5gr NSAs on the way. So guess I'll be playing with a .177 slugger after all!

Seeing how your very new to the form and obviously desperately searching and replying to old post... Let me fill you in... Dairyboy sold his prophet compact as a 22 (the barrel he bought it with) he bought a RTI 177 510mm barrel to try out... That I later bought from him...

So my suggestion to you is... Start with a 3mm restrictor in your rifle and open it up a little at a time ( .05mm) until you get what your looking for.... But I can tell ya... The factory RTI 177 barrel did not shot slugs well... Not at all... Dairyboy even post about it when he first got it.... I had to take my time and use bore paste and polish to get it to shoot slugs...

Ok, becuase I hear a lot that use a 3mm brass screw port for the 177 barrel but in my head I'm like why not a 3.5/4mm ? isn't better a bigger port ? the LW barrel has a 4mm port why not match it?
