.177 slug barrels

Ive been tossing around the idea of a little .177 slug shooter. Nothing too crazy. Shooting a tiny .177 at 100 yards is just too cool. Anyone have a accurate barrel their having luck with shooting slugs? The LW barrel polygon no choke seems like it might do well but its about .003 over nicks slugs. Fx has a slug liner coming out. Tj has one that would work. Id love to see whos got what! Thanks!

Ive heard the barrel on those are awesome! I dont know much about them, but Im assuming its a proprietary barrel?

Yes the barrel specifics are unique to DAYSTATE from LW, but I am sure AOA could get you just a barrel.

My 177 cricket compact, the barrel is not more than 15 1/2 long n it shoot 11g to 12.5 gr great..working in another 177 with a 21" cz to se how it goes..with 16+g.

Would it be fair to assume that the pulsar hp would have the same barrel as the red wolf?

I purchased a LW standard .177 barrel and machined it to fit my flashpup. The NSA 12.5 slug shoots

best so far. ( around 1" at 50 yds.). Tried about 5 different Griffin slugs, not good. Read where the poly

barrel might be better but they like high fps. I'm shooting the 12.5 around 960 fps. Found out this standard barrel loves the Air arms 10 grain pellets.

Also looking for a rifle that will shoot the .177 slugs well, Red Wolf a little over my budget.

That is threw an LW standard "choked" 17.7-1 barrel. 10 shots BTW

Sense then using a Un-choked and it does a tad better yet with NSA's

Just got my dream-tac compact in .177 so not sure if it has the new superior liner(twist rate is most likely 1:18) but it shoots the 12.5 grain pretty well at only 780FPS. I would love to see a FX slug liner with a twist rate of around 1:14-15, that would be sick!

Wish LW would make a slug barrel. I think I need to do a little more grinding on my pin reamer It's

cutting a throat size of .183 ( original Hatsan size), maybe slugs loading a little crooked?,will shoot

for .180. Also want to get rid of the breech o-ring, ordered o-rings for the pellet probe.

15gr looks great! I might try a lw first. Their pretty cheap and quick to get. All I know is if I can get chipmunks and birds at 100 with a .177 I’ll be the happiest guy on this forum
