Hi All,



Anyone shooting these with good accuracy at 50+ yards? I have been messing around with these and 880 to 910 fps is not great out of my gun, does anyone have a magic number that you have gotten good results with?

Others who have success with these have polygon barrels. Shooting at just under 20fpe.

Do you guys know the bc of this pellets?the old ones not the redesigned?

The old "regular" ones have a BC of .030

The redesigned ones have a BC of .042

My Thomas w/polygon barrel and my Logun w/ LW barrel love the original .177 JSB 13.43 pellets. The redesigned not so much.

830 was the best vel out of my hw barrel, amazing accuracy up to 50yds. Bc 0.026-0.028

I have not had any success shooting either the original or redesigned 13.4’s @ 50yds? With a RAW set for 20ftlbs w/poly barrel, now If I up the velocity up to about 860? It will shoot the RD’s really well, but then I’m over the 20ftlb restriction for HV class, but have had really good luck with 10.3’s out of same gun at 50yds

Yes they do, on paper. These numbers are generic, and don't necessarily reflect the exact BC out of your particular gun. It's all relative to the speed out the barrel, twist rate, speed retained at a given distance, usually 50-55 yards. Depending upon your setup, these numbers can vary up or down from the generic number.

Airguns of Arizona have a simple, yet reasonably accurate BC calculator, that you can punch numbers into, and determine the BC of the pellet on your own.

I think I need to lower my velocity, or just continue with the 10.34. I get really good results with them at 915, but these monsters look really good and it would be awesome if the were as accurate at 50+yards.

Dennis Baker of Baker airguns was getting exceptional results with the 13g RD JSB, he has a couple of videos on YT about it using his Redwolf.

These heavy pellets are recommended for the 20 ft/lb Thomas rifle. Mike,mfg and competitor, has done extensive testing.

There is nothing as fickle as an airgun barrel, some like one brand, size, speed or even batch numbers, others hate them. While general advice is a good starting point the only sure fire way is to test several pellets and different speeds and distances

Many have had great success with the 13 grain pellets but they need more tuning or high power tune. Speed alone does not automagically make them accurate.
