After much experimentation, I finally got some good results with my .177 caliber FX Dreamline Tact rifle. I started with the compact version with two different 300 mm liners. It shot ok with those, but just for shooting cans in the back yard. The chokes on these were so tight, that they would foul after less than 100 shots. JB paste was no help here. I installed a 500 mm barrel kit along with a Huma dual transfer port. Immediately, I got 100 fps more velocity, but accuracy was still so-so. I adjusted the reg to 130 bar and tuned it to shoot 13.43 JSB pellets to 915 fps. I tried 10.3 gr pellets, NSA 12.5 gr slugs, and JSB 13.43 gr KO slugs along with the 13.43 gr pellets. The pellets are the only thing that gave me good results. The 10.3 gr pellets shot over 1000 fps, so that didn't work. Slugs not so good-no surprise there. Well, at least I have one good combination that works well with this gun.
