Hi guys, has anybody shot the Nielsen 17.5gr slugs from a Dreamline .22 500mm superior liner? Have you had any success and what diameter is best?

I have tried 20.2 grain and 24,8 grain with a 700 barrel, I don' think I tried 17.5 because they were out when I was trying slugging. But my wildcat prefers a heavier nsa slug and likes it at around 940 fps, still doesn't shoot as well as jsb pellets tho. Hopes it helps.

I'd like to know too.I've had that exact ? myself while I have been eyeing Nielson 22 caliber slugs. I've tried both 22 Caliber (.216 & .217) JSB Knockouts 25.39 grain and the H&N .217 X 21 grain. My Hatsan Flashpup did best with the JSB KnockOuts .217. But not by very much. I can cover both 5 shot groups, shot from 25 yds with a dime. FPS for the .216 was 695 fps and the .217 was 705 fps. I shot a 5 shot, 50 yd group with my stock Dreamline. AHHHH! I can,t find the target,it's cold here,we just had 1 hell of a winter storm. But I remember 1 of those JSB KnockOuts did fairly well. I might try increasing the velocity. I read somewhere air rifle slugs like higher velocities. It's gotta warm up 1st. lol

Im shooting the .217’s through my 380mm at 900fps. Accurate and expand very well. Using for lower power pesting around the house.
