Could you possibly take a picture of the HP on the KO with flash to see how it looks? I know the walls on the VK are paper thin. The NSA are just hard with thick shallow walls

So that you can justify buying more VKs?! JK, but in all honesty out of all the slugs I tried VK expanded the most, HN HP II second. The .177 MK iii are yet to hit a critter so can’t tell. All others I tried were more or less meh in terms of expansion. Killed nonetheless.

The same as always. Did they change the alloy? I’ve hit soft mediums and living meat, never anything resembling mushrooming. It’s been a year since I’ve bought 13.43 KOs. Hell must’ve frosted over, because Im getting pretty serious expansion from NSA slugs too (.22)

20.2? Those seem to work for me as well… 2 house sparrows today and for the first time with these slugs (going 980 fps), didn’t recover the slugs but judging based on the birds… well… big puff of feathers and damage way beyond a .22 hole.

Yes. At 965. Thwacked a cotton tail head on, through the top of the head and stopped just above and right of the spine. 45y. Looked just like an HP2. First time I’ve had NSAs open. I’ve made dozens of kills with the 17.5 too. Never anything significant expansion wise. Until now. 1015 muzzle completely flattened out.
