Thinking maybe my 1377 might be a bit small for such a big varmint. Any ideas? Sciatica's preventing me from pumping my Prod now.

I'm gunna go ahead and steer you to the Seneca Dragonfly MK||.
My 2289(.22 carbine version of 1377)is a killlllller to pump up to 10 times. My lady can only fully pump it twice(she is petite)
However the Seneca is 15 pumps but the the resistance stays the same throughout all of the pumping process. My lady can fully pump all 15 times on the dragonfly with no problem whatsoever.
It also is scopable right off the bat. Iron sights are fiber optic(I haven't tried them but they are very bright). The muzzle comes.with a multisized adapter for whatever moderator you want. Has a single shot tray AND magazine capable.

I fear for what ever squirrel I first see when I'm holding my Dragonfly; for that squirrel will be dinner
