12 Lt vs 9 Lt carbon fiber tank not that much of a difference

I think that looks about right - the boot is misleading, and you can’t compare the weight unless they are both “naked” and empty. A full 9L tank weighs about 3 kg more than when empty.

Since the two half spherical ends are about the same volume (since the diameters look the same), you can directly compare the straight sections - and the new tank looks about the right amount longer to provide the added volume.

But it would take accurate measurements to really calculate it.

What does that mean.... 🤔?

▪︎ Not much difference in weight?
▪︎ Not much difference in bulk?
▪︎ Not much difference in amount of air in it?

A 12L tank has 33% more air than a 9L tank.....

Just wondering. 🤔

I haven’t filled it yet, waiting for the 7/8x14 female - M18x1.5 male adapter …just meant the overall size didn’t look that much different ….

Considering a pressure drop of ballpark from 290 ish bars to 200 bars - the difference could be about 200 shots between the two bottles.
I am tethering only, I have two 14L tanks (old fireman tanks probably 15 yo), I never let it drop to 200 bars. Honestly I never pay attention but that is roughly about 3 tins (700 x .25 cal) of shots between refills.
