I would like to know what the differences are on a veteran that comes from taipan regulated to 12 fpe. Vs fac. Maybe someone who has one can tell me. Is the hammer spring smaller, smaller plenum, smaller transfer port ect. I know you can turn a fac down but it’s not the same. I have a short 177 ,reg set to 90 bar, a plenum reducer ,redesigned transfer port smaller but the hammer spring is still to strong I believe. It’s doing great 160 shots on a fill,but I’m just curious. Thank you. Mark.

I believe you can probably achieve that with reg and hammer spring adjustments. I did the same with my HW100, worked well.

Have my mutant shorty .177 set at 90b also shooting 9/10fpe. it’s pretty much stock airgun.

Sorry for the late reply. I have achieved 10-12 fpe with good results in a short vet. I believe ,I was just curious. I set reg 95 bar,reduced plenum volume, went with very small transfer port. I’m getting 160 shots on a 3600 fill. 10.3 gr jsb at 717 ,es less than 10. I purchased a cz 200 barrel from pyramid air and machine it to fit, left it full length,I was able to back out HS 1/2 turn and picked up 20 shots per fill. So 180 on a fill. Not bad. It’s one hole at 25 yds and 1/2-3/4 at 50. None of the barrels will shoto 8.4 , which is what I wanted.

Just a lite pellet for close pesting with no pass through. I’ve always had the 8.4 more accurate until now.

I used to shoot edgun 10.3 till edgun stop stocking them. went to RWS super mags 9.3. Here’s my first ever 100 shot string. Still running this tune.

Nice Milksatx. I had 2 of the 5 177 mutant. sold them I believe the mutant is a little better built than vet.
I have a short and a std 22 mutant now and a bunch of veteran.
I did another tune on a std 177 vet today. Small TP, reduced plenum, set reg to 85 bar. This one loves the AA 8.4 at 770 fps. One hole at 25 and I lost count of shots after 220 on a 3700 fill. I’m happy now.

Wow 2 .177 conversions a shorty and standard? I’ve got my .177 shorty but my standard is.22 and my vet shorty. I’ve been hoping to catch a .22 mutant shorty. most all my deck guns set low power high shot count.
