100 yard setup!

I finally got my 100 yard range set up! Just in time for the wind to pick up, but my wind app predicts low wind for tomorrow…

It actually measures 99.8 yards, but I can move my bench further back in my garage, maybe I’ll add a small overhang to keep the targets dry.

That looks great. Looking forward to seeing some 100 yard groups. Is that a rubber mat or steel backstop?

Kenny

It is a 3/4” recycled rubber stall mat from Tractor Supply, it weighs close to 100 pounds. I’ve only shot it with 18s so far, I suppose if I get a lot of penetration, I can beef up the frame, and add a 2nd mat. I actually have some usb powered led strips, and several rechargeable power banks. It is nice and quiet, so night shooting if definitely gonna happen!

Nice! How's the stall mat holding up? Do you get a lot of pellets bouncing back?

I’m not sure about longevity yet, only 100 rounds or so sent. As far as rebound goes, I doubt it, I think they are penetrating, but I’ll know better when I change targets later. If they are bouncing off, it’s 50 yards from the back of my house, and 100 yards from my bench, so no real worries there.
