Nice rifle and nice shooting. What kind of velocities are you getting?

How do you like that Optima Red Dot sight?

With the heavier pellets around 670fps likes them and shoots really accurately with them. Hunter Supreme and the Barracuda in the 28 grain. lighter pellets more around the 700 mark but a way less accurate.

I only have two rifles with scopes, I just don't care much for magnified optics. My 60 year old eyes still work just fine, and I shoot better with a red dot, SeeAll or open sights. Red dots a great for quick target acquisition I have 8 of them on various pellet rifles.

I'm the same way. My 61 year old eyes are still pretty good. I do use scopes on rifles but really like iron sights especially peep sights. With scopes I get to much wobble but the iron sights don't move around as much. I feel like I can hold much steadier. That's why I want to try a red dot on my 2240 pistol. I've never used a red dot before.

Its alot like shooting with a peep. Keep both eyes open put the dot on the target. The learning curve is easy.

I also get to much wobble and parrlax with magnification

Red dots are very durable. They will work fine on any break barrel. The only thing that has ever went wrong with any of mine is the light knob turning off after several shots. I'm sure that is from the recoil. But you just turn is on again.
