10 and 20 shots groups at 45yrd with 21fpe Fx Royale

GriffyGriffThat's not a standard walnut stock though is it? Is it the pepper grain? Was that more expensive than walnut?
It's the black pepper laminate, is like $100 more expensive than the standard walnut if i remember correctly (but it worth it). Keep in mind is the heaviest stock of the 3 availables, but not much compared to the walnut, just a tinie bit

"Peskadot671"Beautiful. Nice groups too. You shot those at 21 FPE. Was that the medium setting on the power wheel? What's the weight w/o optics or with?
The weight is about 3.2 or 3.3 kg and the optic is 400g (Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40).
I bought this rifle in Sweden and at first it was shooting at 10j due of their legal restrictions, now i chanche the shaft of the power adjuster (increasing the size of the transfer ports) and now at full power is shooting 21fpe. I will have to inform me about what to do in order to obtain those 30+fpe i'm looking for. If i remember correctly, the pwr 2 will give you like 19fpe with a full power rifle

Very handsome looking gun, and awesome string for unsorted. Do you sort by weight or just visual inspection. I have been shooting pellet on top of pellet with my Regal XL and then a shot is off by one and a half pellet diameters at 22 yds. Now I know why, I'm grabbing whatever comes out of the tin. So I guess I gotta get my powder scale out to start weighing pellets ? Never even thought about it till I read your post and saw the word "unsorted"...Oh and another question, Did you call the flyer or was it the pellet? And where was it in the string ? I notice when I go to do a refill on my mag when the barrel cools, my first shot our of the mag is a flyer...all the rest fall in line, but then again I'm have not sorted either. Very interesting.

in that groups I did not sort the pellets at all, not even a visual inspection, maybe that's what cause that flyer. One damaged pellet can change it all. In fact, i'm almost sure it was that because the chrono show me a 11fps of ES thought 26 shots (20 of them are in that group).
Here you can see the same 20 shots group, (just another pic of the same) and you can clearly see one pellet separated from the others.

And talking about your first shot of you magazine, it can be an issue with the magazine. Maybe it's damaging the skirt of the pellet, try to fill your magazin exept that hole and check if the problem continues.
Then you should check your velocities

aa_limitedhow would you describe the trigger pull on your rifle? any grittiness or creep.
no trigger is perfect right.
Amazing, the perfect 1st stage with the perfect travel. The 2nd stage can be setted from super light all the way to "the perfect spot" and that's where i have it right now hahaha
A great hunting trigger that gives you a great backstop 2nd stage.
Maybe i would correct just a tineeeeee bit the break of the 2nd stage when is setted to his maximim weight, but nothing troublesome :)

If the flyer is always the first pellet of the magazine no matter what pressure you rifle is at, then the problem is almost sure the magazine (you can see if the problem continues when you are single loading).
B.t.w sorting by weight is pretty meticulous, not necesary if you are gonna be shooting on you backyard; just leave it for competition times. The most effective and less laborious type of sorting is just a visual inspection before put it on the mag or in the breech, if it has the skirt damaged do not use and that's it :)
