First AM hunt of the season, seems appropriate on October 1st.
left the house at 6 but someone beat me to the woods, but didn't cross paths with anyone till I walked out of the bush back to the truck a little past 10.
Didn't even see or hear one for over an hour and a half, so was gonna begin a slow loop back to the truck, when I finally saw movement in the top of a tall oak.
Had to be very patient, and didn't get a clean shot until squirrel decides he's full of acorns and begins a slow departure that involved himc oming far enough down the trunk to provide a clean shot -
Snapped a few more pics of this lovely WMA after retrieval
After pic time I worked my way closer to a spot with the sun at my back and sat under a tree with a good view, and within no time spot two grays chasing each other, and was able to pop one, bringing my take take to a nice pair -
