Now that 16X is permitted in Hunter Class is there really much practical difference between 12X and 16X?

I don’t have the 3-18 but I will say the 5.5-25 is a great reticle the best under $1000 scope I have used.

Aztec emerald scope 5.5 - 25 ranges pretty well, even on 16x and has great reticle for Hunter field target.

The magnification may not be that much of a difference but the range finding abilities should be more helpful in my opinion.
