1/2 MOA Beeman QB Chief Video: BS?

I just recently saw a video by STKO where he shot a 1/2” group at 100 yards. Then he proceeded to prove that it was “the norm”. Now, I’d love to call bs on that because:

A. His calipers showed .492” on each group

B. The calipers were not right on the group but beside it

C. That is insane. I have never seen ANY airgun shoot 1/2 MOA, not a FX, not a RAW, not a Cricket.

If it’s true, great! But I’m 90% sure it’s not, it just can’t be. How could a $180 airgun do what one couldn’t do with a $1000 pcp? Is he that good of a shot?

I just watched the video. Lol, this guy is so full of bull. Anybody can put there calipers on .492 and lay it near the group and say 1/2 moa.

Also he says "it the norm", but if you look at the other groups on the target they are no where near 1/2 moa.

In another video he compares his qb chief to Ted's FX impact group. Ted shot 10 shot groups, stko did 5 shot groups. Ted shot his quickly, stko took so long he sped up the camera between shots. Stko is a joke.

I have all but quit watching airgun videos. I’m not sure if it’s buyers remorse in some cases or guys not wanting to jeopardize getting free guns to test but I don’t put much faith in them. I have been fortunate to own a good many guns. When I eventually see a video about one I keep waiting for the guy to mention several negative things that I and others have found but they rarely do. If they do, they just glaze it over. Guys fail to realize that a completely honest video is far more beneficial to the sport than a fluff piece. Most discerning airgunners can see right through a highlight reel video. Sadly a newbie can’t.

Don't know about the video you are talking about but I have shot many .5 inch groups at 100 yards with my Impact .25 700mm slug barrel. Sub MOA is the norm when I have my gun tuned for any of the NSA 33.5 HP, 36.2 HP, 38.5 HP or VK 34 HP slugs. I usually just shoot three shot groups cuz of the constant and quick wind changes in my shooting area. But here are three near or less than half inch groups I have shot with various NSA and VK slugs. Once I got dialed in I shot a spray paint can lid four or five times in a row at 200 yards last time I went out. These guns are plenty accurate if you feed them what they like and have them tuned just so.

NSA 36 gr Dimple Nose Shot the bottom group, yes that's three shots, but could not see it well enough to know what I had just done. So, I dialed up a few clicks and shot a second group :^)

VK 34gr HP looks close to half an inch to me.

Here is a five shot group at 100 with the 34gr JSB pellets. Shot two through the same hole later on you see them above the main group.

I also have a .22 Discovery Frankenstein rifle I put together with a cheap 2260 barrel that will shoot a sub moa group at 100 yards two or three times out of ten on a good day.

That's insane! All I have to try to get somewhere is a Nova Liberty, and although I've seen people get sub MOA ten shot groups wish slugs, I don't have a 100 yard range and so until I find some range that does I will not be able to test that. I can go to 70 meters though, and at that range right after I got the gun the groups were sluggish with Baracudas. But, the gun was brand new never shot so maybe that had something to do with it. Of course, I had to buy FTT so that 1.3" groups at 45 yards would be something!

The reason Ted do 10 shot groups is to rule out luck, and also to show the consistency of the gun, and shooter. Not gonna criticise thouse who do 3 shot groups. For some that is enough to check if the gun shoot fine, or not, for their needs. A guy who does competition, has to trust that every, or as many shots as possible hit the mark. A hunter might be happy with 1 out of 5 flyers.

This guy is a proven asshat. He is a good shooter and just loves to clickbait his titles for views. Over a year ago i invited him to join the nothing under a hundred thread/challenge on GTA never showed up that i saw.
