0db 110c vs Donny Tatsu

I have a Tatsu on my Wildcat MK1 in.22 and a 0DB 110 on my Zbroia Kozak in .22.

To my ears, they are equal in their qualities of moderation. Both rifles are running as close to same same in power as to make no difference.

The 0DB is skinnier in OD than the Tatsu, and the finish is a parkerized looking finish versus the smooth satin finish on the Donny.

The only real difference between them for my money is the ability to match shroud diameter and or finish depending on choice.

thanks chuck, great real world application here. i prefer the finish/look of the 0db. good to know to the human ear they are essentially undiscernible.

Have the Tatsu in .22 and at 920 fps with 18 grain pellets and is very effective, however I had the Tatsu in .25 same fps which is obviously more power but was very loud in comparison, it's actually louder than the FX Hollow can that comes stock on FX barrel kits, but dry firing the .22 version on the .25 it's just as effective as on the .22 ,so go figure, I believe the .25 version maybe has to much clearance for the pellet so the extra volume of air escapes around the pellet making a more pronounced bark. Off course good clearance around the pellet eliminates any chance of clipping.

So now that I’ve had the 0db a while, I have had interesting results.

my phone app is reading the 0db as 2-3 decibels quieter, but I have done this a few times it make sure. Because the donnyfl sounds quieter to me to my ears.

im not sure if this is an odd case of fan boy unconscious bias, or some fancy thing with acoustics where something louder sounds quieter to the human ear.

up close the exposed mesh looks a little odd/cheap also.
