My HW95 Field Pro should be arriving soon. I've read that every barrel is a bit different and has it's own 'preferences' for pellets, but could someone suggest a couple 0.22 cal pellets for hunting with said rifle?

Default answer is what the gun shoots best. But I really like hades however I know nothing of your rifle. But... if your gun likes cheep Crosman HP then your in luck or any done style. If passthrough is a problem then wadcutters would work but then again what game are you after birds I like wad cutters, squirrel I like dome or hades style.

Most .22 HW guns like H&N Field Target trophy, Mine does along with JSB 13.4s and H&N Baracuda green lead-free pellets. I have never tried the Crosman Premier pellets. I've had good success out to 50 yards or so with the Baracuda greens.

My HW95 Field Pro in .22 does very well with JSB 15.89gr pellets. The inexpensive Crosman Primier Hollow Points have also given me very good results.
