I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

Yes, spoons packed with Duct Seal. I've taken several practice shots are a couple spoons secured in place, packed with Duct Seal, no ricochets or bounce backs. Once I finish up my work day, I'll be filling up the spoons in place with Duct Seal. It's seemed to do the job thus far.

I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

Ok, I ran downstairs before work and make a quick dry run demo video. Sadly the LCD screen on the control box is washed out and you can't read it. I'll make a better video of that later. That and the sound of my server rack in the basement is LOUD lol.. https://youtu.be/wMevt06Pkzo But a...

I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

A side note, the top display shown in the CAD drawing. That has yet to be built lol.. The idea is, the left ring is an RGB LED ring, I can light up as you take shots. Thus you know how many of said shots you are limited too and when you are out of shots. The second right LED ring will be for...

I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

Thus far I haven't had many issues with the spoon testing. I pack them full of duct seal so they absorb most of the inertia and or the BB itself. When I was testing with a few, I secured them in place and took 8-10 shots at each spoon from between 5-10feet away, not one ricocheted out. My...

I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

Yes, this will be used indoors in my basement. Primarily BB, well hopefully only BB. I have a Gamo Silent stalker, that I think would go right thru most of this box lol As for distance, in my static spoon testing I was about 5-10 feet away shooting the spoon secured in a fixed position. But...

I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

I've done some testing (with the spoons packed with duct seal), they lasted some time, but I do plan to replace the bottom row with larger spoons. and if any spoon does fail they are easy to replace. As for detecting a hit, there is a metal contact pad behind each spoon (mounted below each...

I'm building a new, Arduino controlled target box.

About a year ago I drew up an idea for a target box I wanted to play around with, adding an Arduino micro-controller for abit more fun. The idea is to use spoons packed with Duct Seal, hanging from some all thread with contact plates in the rear. Above each spoon an LED to let you know when...
