thanks Humdinger - I won't repeat that mistake again - I think I am in the live, learn, and (probably) pay mode now - I hope I can come up with a fix that doesn't involve replacing the compressor. Planning on trying the AV help line again next week to see what their advice is

Following your progress - have the same problem with Taipan Vet standard 22 - loses about 20 bar/day - have ordered new O rings all around with a Huma regulator for a rebuild - I will be interested to know that you solved the problem.

My experience is the same. Emailed him and had an answer within 24 hours. Bought a SUMO for my .25 FX Streamline. Highly recommended!
