Very decent 8mm Giffard Rifle.. it’s Co2 powered and shoots very well,. Comes with 310 round ball and a co2 charging adapter. The barrel has some freckling,as shown and the buttplate is chipped also shown, it’s shooting near 600 fps and is decently accurate..not bad for a rifle nearing 175 yrs...

I’m the one that had the targets…. My kids have a laser and cut them out for me..they used either 1/8” Masonite, white on one side, or 1/8 or a little thicker plywood… I sold them for 5.00 each, 3 for 10 and they sold out…because ofthe high cost of materials and laser time, i hate to ask them to...

The crosman bulk guns thread is 1/8” ip straight thread...it’s a shallow thread and seals on the gasket at the bottom of the thread..screwing in a foster with a tapered thread might not engage enough to hold securely...

I made the ball, it’s good for Co2 only...as for the key , it’s to tighten up the spring for a heavier hammer hit..it’s a single shot, and it gets about 14 shots per fill of co2. the transfer port to the barrel is a little over .375, and is very short, less than 3/4” btw the key is a rough...

Just finished this one, at least as finished as I’m gonna do.. Several years ago, I bought this barrel at the Findlay Ohio airgun show and put it on my table of possible projects.... I started on it last year, did some on it, then put it away and thought about it some more..the last few weeks...

Quiet wasn’t what I was goin for...I took off the shroud and put a bull barrel on it..the reg was cranked up, port opened all the way and hammer spring tightened... ive since slowed the 30, to mid 400’s for about 18 shots, plus its quieter...I did thread the barrels for a moderator which does...

I’ve have a couple of these pistols, and they’re a great value. Mrodair is where I got mine,several years ago. I’ve converted them to 25 and 30 cal. I was able to get a tiny bit over 500fps with the 30, and near 600 with the 25... they are worth getting imo Mike

My 308 is a 1in 10 twist.. it was a new blank I had lying around...I am able to get around 1/2” at 50 yds with the heavy jsb’s. At 100,it’s about 1-1/4...I think the barrel is doing fine, but unregulated accuracy at distance on the Rex is kinda iffy, I’ve been using different springs, trying...

I did not modify the valve itself, but had to make a top hat to fit over the existing top hat, to accommodate the larger barrel in 45...so that meant I needed a new hammer with a larger bore for the 45 barrel...plus hammers and spacer...it was all a big experiment... the buttstock reservoir in...

I have the Rex rifle, and have converted it to several different calibers...i made my own barrels, and there is some machining required...I had to make new spacers and different hammers to get the performance I wanted...also spring changes The different barrel od’s I had on hand required...

You don’t want to twist it till it starts moving...the barrel has a locating notch at 6 o’clock at the breech...
