    Ohio airgunners where you at?

Wheelersburg. I didn't know about the Central Ohio Airgunners Group. It's a little far for me to become a regular, but I might have to check out some of the events. Thanks for the info.

Steyr LG 110 High Power Hunting .22 Info/Review Please

Najiam, The opinions of these two rifles regarding accuracy will vary between shooters. So, I can only attest to my experience and observations. I have never been fortunate enough to test these rifles for accuracy indoors. All my limited shooting is outdoors with accompanying environmental...

Strelok, Chairgun & Other programs and Ballistic Coefficients....

YES! Regretfully, I cannot follow through with AZ's request for a simple "yes or no." I feel as if I need to briefly explain my situation and relationship with AZ. I do not know him personally, nor have a ever spoken to him face-to-face. As one with very limited experience with PCP air...

Steyr LG 110 High Power Hunting .22 Info/Review Please

I originally started this topic with questions regarding the Steyr LG110. I ended up getting one and I'm glad I did. I enjoy target shooting and the accuracy you can achieve is tremendous. However, yes, they are LOUD without a moderator. When I purchased the rifle I also purchased a Steyr...

What's considered an acceptable Extreme Spread?

I've read a lot of your posts. You have a lot more experience with PCPs then I have. I really wasn't looking for specific rifle information (although it would be nice) as I was just general information.

What's considered an acceptable Extreme Spread?

I have a Steyr LG110 High Power Hunting .22 and a Daystate Wolverine B Hi-lite .22. I'm mainly tinkering with the Steyr. I'm thinking about adjusting the velocity (not sure how to do that yet I have a lot of reading and research to do). Currently, it's shooting 18gr JSBs at an average of 861fps.

What's considered an acceptable Extreme Spread?

Thanks for the responses. Is there any kind of tuning you can do to the rifle to tighten the spread? In other words, what tweeks or tuning can you do to the rifle get it to be as consistent as possible? I'm fairly new to PCP air rifles and extremely new to tuning one.

What's considered an acceptable Extreme Spread?

What's an acceptable extreme spread to yield accurate shots? Obviously, the lower the better, but what's realistic?

    FX Impact

I really hope this rifle lives up to all the hype. It'll undoubtedly will be nice, but my concerns are with the rifle holding a zero due to the breakdown aspect. Having a short rifle (bullpup/carbine size) with a carbon fiber bottle, ability to somewhat easily change the caliber when wanted...

Final Modification To FX Boss ( I Hope !!! )

I realize loudness is subjective. I have limited experience with PCP air rifles. I have a Wolverine B Hi-Lite .22 and a Steyr LG110 High Power Hunting .22. Those two rifles are litterely the only PCP's I have ever held and shot. I hear people saying "all you hear is the pellet hitting the...

Final Modification To FX Boss ( I Hope !!! )

That's a very nice setup. The Huggett looks good and I really like the carbon fiber bottle. I would have to say I'm a little jealous. I've had my eye on the Boss for a long time now. I'm hesitant to get one due to the loudness of the .30. Actually, my lack of knowledge of the loudness of the...

    Wouldn't you know it. Update

Sorry to hear about this. I've been wondering if I would find myself in a similar situation. I just started shooting PCP air guns within the last six months and I would have to say that I really enjoy it. I enjoy the fact that I can shoot a lot more due to the ability to shoot in my backyard...

Review of the AmericanAirArms .357 Slayer BullPup

Thanks for the response. That's what I thought. Thanks for the rifle review. I'm now following these rifles. Before your review I haven't even heard of them. Thanks again.

Review of the AmericanAirArms .357 Slayer BullPup

If you don't mind me asking... why such strong feelings regarding your rifles having a barrel band? I'm pondering the benefits vs. the negative aspects. Is it because it provides support for the barrel to help reduce damage when walking through the woods? Is it support for a weak point? Most...

    Best bull pup for lefties

I second what NMshooter (Doc) said. Look at the rifles with the bolt handle/lever more forward. There may be others, but look at the Vulcan (my top choice at the moment),Wildcat, or wait for the new Impact. Another consideration is the magazine design and location. They all seem to be located...

How many of you keep a hand pump in your closet...

I use my Hill MK4 to top off my Wolverine B .22 all the time. I don't have a compressor, so I like to use the pump when I'm around the house to save my buddy bottle for when I actually need it (i.e. at the range, or shooting a lot of pellets in one sitting). I don't find it all that difficult or...

Ok, this sounds stupid I know ....

I let them shoot my rifle and that shuts them up pretty quick. And usually they want mine or start researching there own. When someone who rarely shoots can pick up and beautifully crafted rifle, hit a half inch target at 50 yards in your backyard multiple times, and not have to wear ear...
