I have the same issue with my iPhone when I try to use the camera , I think its because the phone has different lenses it tries to use. When I use an app it works fine, try the PhoneSkope app. It is free and has some adjustability.

I will probably be in the 45-50 range. 

I used a 5-25 power scope at EBR this year and there were a couple times that I put a pellet in the 8 ring and it was hard to see. I will be using a Vortex Golden Eagle 15-60 power from now on, no problem seeing my holes any more! I would definitely recommend a scope that is at least 30x.

I am glad it works good for you, and yes I can adjust the lengths for different guns. I am working on a new design that is more rigid and also clamps for different bottle sizes but the smaller tubes vary a lot in diameter. If someone needs one for a specific gun I can make it. I can be reached...
