    Maverick Breech leak

On my Maverick the cocking rod linkage had slipped. Left side of the gun. the silver rod. It attaches to the cocking lever with two grub screws. my guess is that they are loose enough to allow the cocking lever & pellet probe to slip out of position in the breech. Try loosening the grub...

What happens if you shoot below 125bar with a 250bar rifle?

The simple answer is.....NO. you will NOT hurt, harm, damage your PCP by firing at anything LESS than recommended max pressures. The pellet or slug will simply travel slower and slower until -- at some point -- it will not have enough 'push' to exit the barrel. On the other hand-- You...

What is "lights out" referring to how a gun shoots?

I can't swear to it, but I believe the term comes from the folks that hunt critters & pests. Sometimes when you hit a critter, they run, they crawl, they twitch. Sometimes....when they get hit --- it's 'lights out.'. Instantly dead. No movement, no twitch. Done. Them peskies are Dead Right...

    New Marauder Owner

There are SOOOOOO many things you can do with an M-rod!!! The best advice I can think of is: 1) Get rid of 'the lawyer spring'. 2) read everything you can find WHILE you're shooting it. The things you want to do will find their way to the top of your list, as you go. Otherwise, if it was me...

    Marauder still good?

Wow. I don't even know where to start. In the power-burner world, the ultimate 'tinker-toy' is the 10/22, right? If it's made, it's available for the 10/22. In the airgun world, that's the Marauder. They're not outrageously expensive to start with. The design is simple. It's efficient...

Tuning FX Maverick .30 - Tuning going backwards...

I picked up a .30 sniper that had been tuned just like yours. Initially, pellet speeds were at 880fps. I had to bump 1st reg to 170-ish. 2nd reg is 135-ish. And if you have one, you know '-ish'. ;) Now the nielsen 49.5 slugs are running 965fps. Also--- pellets worked fine out of the standard...

    Benjamin Akela 22cal.

If yours is like mine.....I think you'll find that the Nielsen .218 will perform better than the .217. Be sure to keep the speed up at 900fps or above, and they'll fly like lasers out to 100+ yards.

    .20 slugs

I've been pestering Nick for over a year to p-l-e-a-s-e bring them back. But, all the 'testers' I talked to, or heard from, said they just didn't perform as hoped. So...As much as I would love to have .20 slugs.....I'm not holding my breath.

FX Maverick .30cal FX Hybrid Slugs Accuracy

I just picked up a Maverick Sniper .30 from a friend--that got frustrated with it. ;) The very first thing I learned is that..... you don't need as much 2nd reg pressure as you would think. I cranked it up to 150 bar and was only getting about 800fps with 48 grain pellets (the testing rounds)...

Jager EVO XP anyone try these cool looking rifles?

Adding my two cents to an older thread..... I have one of the Jager .35's. I love it! It's relatively light, and hits like a hammer! It's equally accurate with JSB's, Neilsen slugs, Hunters-Supply slugs, and is MOA accurate with NOE cast slugs. I keep mine zeroed at 80 yds and routinely...

    Jager Evo .35???

I like mine. It eats pellets or slugs equally. It prefers .357. .358 is just a little too tight. The action is smooth as butter and the trigger is amazing, right out of the box. I haven't had any luck finding additional mags or support.
