Got the Veyron 3-12 SFP and first impressions are fantastic! The reticle is still very precise, but thick enough that I think I would be comfortable taking it into the woods for some hunting. Definitely towards the thinner end of the spectrum. It's about 1/2 as thick as my Athlon Talos 3-12 SFP...

For Android devices, I don't see a reason why one couldn't side load the APK if the dev made it available. I've already set mine to not auto-update, but I do still connect to the internet and update my phone.

Agreed. If you want a project gun AND can find a used Prod in the $200 range, then it can make sense. But Crosman asking almost $400 for the Prod in 2023 is a joke. It should be selling for $199

This is the key here I think. I grabbed the Talos because it's going on a cheap PCP and there was no sense on putting a $400 optic on it. But I would never put it on a $1000 PCP.

While I agree with the sentiment, let's not forget you can find the Talos SFP models for ~$150-$180. At that point, another $170 is literally double the cost. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but if anyone is reading this and they can only afford a $150 scope, you're not doing yourself a...

Talos 3-12 w/ Warne Vapor rings (~3oz). Looks like it's around 19 oz for the scope.

My thoughts exactly. I have no clue what cases @Godlike1125 is using that make the Apache 9800 feel flimsy, but I have two and they're impressively sturdy. They currently hold 10+ lb precision centerfire rifles with no worries.

Depends on the quality of springer. If it's a cheap Chinese springer, I'm happy with 1" out to 40ish yards. If it's a high dollar German/British springer, I'm gonna want to see those groups shrinking a decent amount. This assuming bench/field rest. Positional shooting is a whole nother ballgame.
