    Pistol Carbine fad

IIRC, he said it was from eBay and it's specifically for the Prod.

Thoughts on the vector veyron 3-12x44 sfp?

Got the Veyron 3-12 SFP and first impressions are fantastic! The reticle is still very precise, but thick enough that I think I would be comfortable taking it into the woods for some hunting. Definitely towards the thinner end of the spectrum. It's about 1/2 as thick as my Athlon Talos 3-12 SFP...

Strelok officially banned by US government!

For Android devices, I don't see a reason why one couldn't side load the APK if the dev made it available. I've already set mine to not auto-update, but I do still connect to the internet and update my phone.

    Removable cable for FX radar?

They make magnetic USB-C cables. Any chance that would work in any way? Example:

does anyone here 3d print 13ci bottle butt stocks/plates?

@rattletrap your printing skills are enviable. I've finally got my printer decently dialed in with PLA, but it's so brittle for functional parts. How much harder is it to print in PETG?

Where to source QB/Gauntlet tank block?

Well, sad day. Called Umarex and they do not send tank blocks out anymore. Screw Umarex. They came in, put some "fancy" stock on a QB79 HPA conversion and called it groundbreaking, when people like Bob Sterne and @nervoustrig had been masterfully modifying QB's for YEARS. Umarex has apparently...

Unboxed a few airguns that i never got to

Oh yeah, just some airguns you haven't gotten around to unboxing... 😲 I wouldn't be able to do anything else knowing those were around and not unboxed yet. Those are classic guns!

    1/2 x 20 threaded nut

    Ah, my b. I figured they'd be like 1/4"

    1/2 x 20 threaded nut

Oooh, smart idea. I used a 1/2-20 threaded standoff from McMaster when I 3D printed some barrel bling. Pricier than a nut, but also has 1/2" of threads

    Tuning Umarex Notos has arrived.

Agreed. If you want a project gun AND can find a used Prod in the $200 range, then it can make sense. But Crosman asking almost $400 for the Prod in 2023 is a joke. It should be selling for $199

    Athlon does it again !!!

This is the key here I think. I grabbed the Talos because it's going on a cheap PCP and there was no sense on putting a $400 optic on it. But I would never put it on a $1000 PCP.

    Athlon does it again !!!

While I agree with the sentiment, let's not forget you can find the Talos SFP models for ~$150-$180. At that point, another $170 is literally double the cost. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but if anyone is reading this and they can only afford a $150 scope, you're not doing yourself a...

    Athlon does it again !!!

Talos 3-12 w/ Warne Vapor rings (~3oz). Looks like it's around 19 oz for the scope.

    Tuning Umarex Notos has arrived.

Basically my thoughts as well. Out of the box, the Notos is better. But I've been able to modify my two Prods into something that the Notos can't be, simply due to the aftermarket parts support. But it's taken like $800 into each gun to get there, so there's that...

Thoughts on the vector veyron 3-12x44 sfp?

Jeez, I just paid more than that on the classifieds here, scoop that deal up!

    Harbor Freight Rifle case deal.

My thoughts exactly. I have no clue what cases @Godlike1125 is using that make the Apache 9800 feel flimsy, but I have two and they're impressively sturdy. They currently hold 10+ lb precision centerfire rifles with no worries.

Thoughts on the vector veyron 3-12x44 sfp?

I really liked the FFP version I had, but the reticle was super thin on lower magnification. I'll have the SFP version Wednesday if the tracking is to be believed.

good group size for a break barrel

Depends on the quality of springer. If it's a cheap Chinese springer, I'm happy with 1" out to 40ish yards. If it's a high dollar German/British springer, I'm gonna want to see those groups shrinking a decent amount. This assuming bench/field rest. Positional shooting is a whole nother ballgame.
