Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

Kind of. I have checked the tension on the screws and marked them. I don’t know why I haven’t thought about that before. That takes a lot of the guesswork out of if something is backing out or moving. So far the rifle is holding precision. If the screws keep backing out too frequently, I’ll get...

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

Ah, my utg scope mount stop pins are in fact smaller in diameter than gamo’s scope rings. Thanks for highlighting that weakness.

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

Haven’t seen this solution before but unfortunately my scope tube length is too short to try.

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

It does but no AO or magnification. After reading and learning more, I realized that back in the day when my best bud and I would plink with his old Gamo, the reason we probably couldn’t get it zeroed at all was the scope probably came broken. So I budgeted a scope when I purchased my rifle. If...

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

I found myself in a weird predicament during scope mounting. And just a reminder, this is my first air rifle venture and I was on a tight budget so lots of learning along the way. The eye relief on the UTG scope required me to choke up on the stock to get closer to the scope than I anticipated...

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

You might be on to something. I haven’t considered that. Rifle had too much barrel droop that I couldn’t adjust the elevation enough. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the thought.

Okay so I’m not crazy. I have seen old posts regarding prices and then I check retailers and they are way more now. Guess I missed the boat.

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

Got it, thanks! I don’t mind spending the time and learning the discipline. I got this rifle as a tool and at the time couldn’t justify spending much more than the budget I set. That said, I’m starting to wonder if this might turn into a hobby as I keep eyeing these hw77/97 rifles…

Spring piston rifle scope not holding zero

looking to see if I can find a sandbag on prime or make one of my own. My block is definitely just a band-aid for what I had lying around to use. @Hateful McNasty I really appreciate your advice and coming back to this post with suggestions and pointers! It’s given me some structure on what to...

HW/Weihrauch HW77K: Does Anyone Hunt or Pest With One?

Is that a moderator on the 97? Is there a sound difference? I’ve been drooling over these and it’s really tough controlling myself from window shopping.

What did you do airgun related today.

Got more practice on my Gamo varmint power 22. Felt great about my accuracy and zeroing at 20yards yesterday. Then tested at 30 yards and left with questions. Also found this cool forum. Also realized my tool for pest control might turn into a hobby and now have envy for an hw77k. I’m in trouble.
